REDISCOVER CLASSIC BACK EXERCISES , HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW THEM?

BACK DAY! My favorite. ...

This Chronicle is going to be on the all Mighty powerful latissimus dorsi. The lat pulldown is most likely the most important exercise in stabilizing the spine. It's a gross stabilizer of the spine with the aid of the internal oblique , transverse abdominis and erector spinae. So if you have a client with lower back pain , make sure to put the lat pulldown exercise in his Rehabilitation.

One of the most basic exercise for the back is most likely the old famous one arm row. Sadly, I see people in the gym using too heavy with improper form. A good trick is to use an incline bench and ask the client to perform a shoulder extension while avoiding overuse of the upper trap and going too far. The end result of doing such a movement is creating impingement in the shoulder and in long terms a possible slap lesion on the posterior side of the capsule.

Do you like doing bent over rows? Do you have a client that always moves his head or has bad head positioning when doing pronated grip bent over rows ? Start with your clients doing reverse grip rows to teach the client proper form. When he learned the proper form go with a pronated grip.
