DOES YOUR PAIN COME FROM THE SHOULDER OR THE NECK?

This article is crucial to understand the many problems emanating from forward head posture.

First let's start by finding if is it the shoulder or the neck? Good Question?

1-Pain from the shoulder will most likely be felt on the front of the shoulder or the outer part of the shoulder. You may also occasionally feel a dull pain down your arm. Remember a shoulder problem will not give numbness in the hand!
2-Pain from the neck will cause pain near the base of the neck or into the shoulder blade. It also may refer pain in the shoulder and could be accompanied with pins and needles or numbness. (Quote Robin Mckenzie) So make sure that your posture is optimal to prevent future pains and aches.

Always remember that 70% of proprioception of the neck comes from C3-C4 and any form of atlas Subluxation will create neuromuscular compensation. So make sure that if you have a tight levator scapulae and Upper trapezius stretch them first and then Strengthen the Deep Cervical Flexors.
